We're making positive changes to our city and society.
We are a group of young people aged 11-25, actively engaged in representing young people’s views and opinions.
Under the direction of Newport City Council, we are responsible for ensuring that young people have a say on issues that matter to them, helping to shape tomorrow for future generations.
We do this in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the local authority’s duty to engage with young people. Each area within Wales must facilitate a Youth Council to allow young people to influence local decision making, providing every young person with the platform to make positive change.
